Northeast Mississippi Community College PTK Officers Visit Washington, D.C.

PTK officers from Northeast Mississippi Community College visited Washington, D.C., on Wednesday. During their trip, they toured the White House and met with U.S. Sen. Roger Wicker, according to college officials.

College representatives said experiences like these exemplify the benefits of being involved with Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for two-year colleges. The organization encourages students to develop leadership skills and pursue opportunities beyond campus.

“Getting involved, growing as a leader, and exploring new opportunities are what PTK is all about,” said a college spokesperson. “This trip highlights the potential for students to go places through PTK involvement.”
