Northeast Mississippi Community College Showcases Student Creatives

Students at Northeast Mississippi Community College are gaining hands-on experience through the Northeast Creatives program, where they build portfolios, personal brands, and professional résumés in real time, according to the college.

Each student photographer and videographer manages their own professional account, serving as a living résumé that highlights their work for the campus and community. Their projects include shooting live athletic events, producing promotional videos, filming interviews and podcasts, and creating daily social media content, the college said.

By graduation, participants have not only gained experience but also tangible proof of their skills, college officials added. The program aims to prepare students for careers in creative fields and showcase their work to a broader audience.

Northeast Mississippi Community College describes its program as a way for students to demonstrate their readiness for the workforce and to help them move forward in their careers.
