Northeast Mississippi Community College Softball Edges Motlow State, Sweeps Doubleheader

The Northeast Mississippi Community College softball team defeated Motlow State 8-7 to complete a doubleheader sweep Saturday.

The Tigers held a slim lead late but survived a rally attempt by Motlow State in the final innings, according to team officials.

Northeast is scheduled to return to action Friday against Arkansas State Mid-South, with first pitch set for 12 p.m.

The team’s social media account posted the update with the hashtag #TigerTown.
