Northeast Mississippi Community College Softball tops Holmes 9-5 in season opener

Northeast Mississippi Community College’s softball team opened its season with a 9-5 victory over Holmes, with three home runs helping secure the win, according to sources.

The game was played at The Plex, and the teams are scheduled to face off again later today, with first pitch at approximately 4:45 p.m.

The Bulldogs and Tigers are expected to meet in the same location for the rematch, as Northeast looks to build on its opening win, the sources added.
