Northeast Mississippi Community College softball defeated Mineral Area 5-1 in five innings, with Adin Shelton hitting a home run to enforce the run-rule, according to the team.
Kendall Bragg earned her first win in the circle for Northeast Mississippi, the school said.
The team has a mid-week series against Columbia State planned for an away game, the school added.
