Northeast Practical Nursing students partner with hospital to comfort children

Practical Nursing students at Northeast Community College partnered with Baptist Memorial Hospital-Booneville to offer comfort items to children during medical visits. The students provided stickers, temporary tattoos, and Tiger buddies to help ease children’s anxiety.

The initiative exemplifies hands-on learning that extends beyond the classroom into the community. The program aims to develop compassionate caregivers who can make a difference in patients’ lives.

Northeast encourages individuals interested in service, leadership, and care to consider starting their future at the college, where practical experience is prioritized.
