Ashley Schmidt, a sophomore Medical Laboratory Technology student from Okolona, has received the Lois B. Jones and David R. Pace Memorial Scholarship from the Mississippi/Louisiana chapter of the American Society of Clinical Laboratory Science, according to the college.
Schmidt plans to start working as a medical laboratory technician this fall while continuing her education at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences to earn her bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, her college said.
The college expressed pride in Schmidt’s achievement. “We’re proud of you, Ashley,” the college said.
