Northeast’s Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Recognized at Regional Conference

The Northeast Mississippi Community College Phi Theta Kappa chapter received several honors at the Mississippi-Louisiana Regional Conference, according to a college news release.

Highlights include Afton Reynolds earning the Golden Key Award and Anna Slack receiving the Distinguished Officer Award. Several advisors, including Ray Harris, Robbie Jones, Andrea Mathis, Jessica Morris, and Justin Treloar, were recognized with Horizon Advisor Awards.

The chapter also earned the 5-Star Chapter Award for the 24th consecutive year, the highest ranking possible. Other awards included second place for the College Project Award, fifth place for the Honors in Action Award, and third place for Most Distinguished Chapter. The theme for this year’s Honors in Action was “Preserving Stories.”

College officials praised PTK members and advisors for their dedication and leadership, noting their role in continuing a tradition of academic excellence. The college’s PTK chapter has been recognized annually for its achievements.
