PACCAR opens expanded manufacturing plant in Columbus, Mississippi

PACCAR, a global automotive technology company, celebrated the grand opening of its expanded manufacturing facility in Columbus, Mississippi, on Thursday.

The $209.4 million investment will add new production lines and facilities, according to company officials. The project is expected to create 100 jobs in the region, located in Mississippi’s Golden Triangle.

Governor Tate Reeves attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony and praised the company’s commitment to the state’s workforce and manufacturing sector. Officials said the expansion underscores Mississippi’s growing role in automotive manufacturing.
