Parkland beats Northeast 12-5 in baseball opener

Parkland opened its baseball season with a 12-5 victory over Northeast on Tuesday night. The Cobras, ranked No. 15, took the early lead and maintained it throughout the game.

Gavin Puckett provided a highlight for the Tigers with a home run, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Parkland’s offensive effort.

The series between Northeast and the Mississippi Community College team continues Wednesday, with games beginning at 2 p.m., according to team officials.
