Percy Quin State Park boat ramp reopens after flooding in Mississippi
The boat ramp at Percy Quin State Park in McComb, Mississippi, reopened Friday after being closed due to flooding, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.
The ramp closed on Jan. 13 after floodwaters caused aquatic vegetation to accumulate around the area, making it inaccessible to boaters and anglers. MDWFP staff spent the past week removing invasive aquatic plants to restore access.
The department encourages boaters and anglers to check the status of public lakes and ramps on its website at https://www.mdwfp.com/fishing-boating/lakes for updates and additional information.
