Phi Theta Kappa chapter launches annual disaster relief fundraiser
The Phi Theta Kappa chapter at North Mississippi Community College is recognized for its community service efforts. During their recent meeting, the chapter hosted CT Grist, executive director of the North Mississippi Chapter of the American Red Cross, to kick off their annual fundraiser.
Last year, the group raised more than $3,000 for disaster relief. They plan to increase their impact this year, according to chapter members. The fundraiser supports the American Red Cross’s disaster response efforts.
Chapter members emphasized the importance of leadership, service, and compassion. They see their work as a reflection of the values they aspire to uphold as Tigers.
Organizers encourage community members to participate and help make a difference beyond campus, demonstrating the chapter’s commitment to service and community involvement.
