Police Warn Residents About Scammers Offering Cleanup Services
Police Chief Michael Ramey is warning residents to be vigilant against potential scammers in the area. He said some individuals may be making phone calls or going door-to-door, offering cleanup services and overcharging for debris removal.
Ramey advised residents to gather any available information if they encounter suspicious activity. This includes names, phone numbers, and the Mississippi city where the scammers are registered. If they are not registered, residents are encouraged to visit Booneville City Hall.
He emphasized the importance of reporting such incidents to the police to help prevent further scams and protect the community.
