Power Outages Decline Slightly as Crews Continue Restoration Efforts

As of 10 p.m. Monday, Pacific Coast Electric Power Association reported 479 outages. Company officials emphasized ongoing efforts to restore power and reassured customers they are not overlooked.

Company spokesperson Robert Dodson said crews worked tirelessly on Monday, surpassing their goal of reducing outages to fewer than 500. He noted that safety remains the top priority, with no injuries reported among workers.

The company released a map showing current work areas, where construction crews are actively repairing infrastructure. Six service crews are also patrolling the entire service area to handle service connections. Customers can access the outage map online for detailed information.

Officials urged residents to stay away from downed power lines and to treat all lines as energized. The company announced that its lobby will be closed Tuesday, but the drive-thru window will remain open.

In addition, 14 crews are installing fiber drops throughout the service area. The company plans to make significant progress on cable, service, and equipment repairs today, according to Dodson.
