Prentiss County Deputies arrest man on drug and warrant charges

Prentiss County deputies set up a traffic checkpoint on March 14, 2026, according to sheriff’s officials. During the operation, Deputy Ethan Hester arrested Maurice Miller, 46, of Booneville.

Miller was charged with driving with a suspended license and a municipal warrant, authorities said. He was also found to be in possession of methamphetamine, according to officials.

Judge Craig Bishop of the Prentiss County Justice Court set Miller’s bond at $5,000. North Mississippi Narcotics Agent Grady Smith is expected to present the case to a grand jury, officials added.
