Severe weather possible in Mississippi Sunday night

The entire state of Mississippi is at risk for severe weather beginning Sunday evening and continuing into early Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.

Forecasters warn residents to prepare for severe storms, damaging winds up to 70 mph, hail up to quarter size, and the potential for tornadoes. The threat persists through the overnight hours into Monday.

Officials advise residents to stay weather-aware, have multiple ways to receive alerts, and identify a safe place in case of a tornado or severe storm. No injuries or damage reports have been released as of now.
