Tupelo man gets 20-year sentence for drug possession and fleeing
TUPELO, Miss. — A Tupelo man received a 20-year prison sentence Monday for possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute, according to court records.
Circuit Court Judge Kelly L. Mims sentenced Reginald Denman, who also received a 10-year suspended sentence for fleeing felony charges. Denman is required to serve five years of supervised release after his release from prison.
The North Mississippi Narcotics Unit investigated the case, with assistance from the Tupelo Police Department. The District Attorney’s Office praised the NMNU for its efforts to curb the flow of dangerous drugs into the community, according to a news release.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Megan French on behalf of the state. Jason D. Herring is the district attorney for the First Circuit Court District, the release said.
