TVA makes progress restoring high-voltage lines in Mississippi
The Tennessee Valley Authority announced today that it has made significant progress in restoring high-voltage transmission lines supplying electricity to local power companies in Mississippi.
TVA reports that power has been restored to communities including West Water Valley, Bruce, NE Corinth, Corinth Primary, Taylor, West Oxford, North Sardis, and Tallahatchie Industrial Park. However, many transmission lines still require repairs, and work continues.
Meanwhile, TVA has restored transmission lines serving local power companies in Middle and West Tennessee. Crews are actively working to repair additional lines, with roughly half of the affected delivery points in North Mississippi now restored, according to the agency.
TVA officials expressed appreciation for the patience of those still affected and emphasized ongoing collaboration with local power companies. For the latest updates on Winter Storm Fern impacts, visit http://tva.me/3JXa50Y3ZFg.
