Waterfowl Draw Hunts Limited on Several WMAs Due to Weather Conditions

Waterfowl draw hunts on Charlie Capps, Howard Miller, Muscadine, Mahannah, Trim Cane, and Tuscumbia wildlife management areas will be limited to pre-drawn hunters and their parties on Saturday and Monday, the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks announced.

The agency cited unknown and potentially dangerous weather and travel conditions as the reason for the restriction. There will be no stand-by opportunities on these areas during the specified dates, officials said.

Pre-drawn waterfowl hunters must check in and out of the WMAs using either the MDWFP HuntFish app or paper user cards. All other regulations for the areas will remain in effect, department officials added.
