One person arrested on murder charges after woman found dead in her home

A north Mississippi woman is in jail on murder charges after a local resident was found dead in their Baldwyn home.

47 year old Shawnie Young of Belmont is changed with 1st degree murder in the death of 63 year old Pamela Jean Britt of Baldwyn.

Britt was found Tuesday in her Baldwyn home by her employer.

According to Baldwyn Police, Britt was discovered by her employer and police after she didn’t return to work after her lunch break.

Young is currently in Lee County jail.
