Baldwyn Kindergarten Students Learn Letters, Shapes, and Colors

Mrs. Raines and Ms. Amber’s kindergarten class at Baldwyn Elementary are making progress in their early learning. Students are practicing recognizing and counting the letters in their names.

The week’s focus includes the color green and the shape of a circle. Students painted caterpillar heads and worked on fine motor skills by cutting out circles for the caterpillar bodies. They then glued the pieces to spell out their names.

The activities align with standards RF.K.1d, K.CC.1, and K.G.2, according to school officials. The class’s efforts highlight hands-on learning aimed at foundational skills.
