Baldwyn School District Students Compare Biscuit Types in Nutrition Class
Students in Baldwyn High School’s Nutrition and Wellness class recently conducted a hands-on project comparing different types of biscuits. The class evaluated canned, frozen, and homemade biscuits to understand their differences in preparation and quality.
The project included tasting and analyzing each type, with students noting texture, flavor, and overall appeal. As a bonus, they also made monkey bread to explore additional baking techniques, according to school officials.
School officials said the activity aimed to teach students about food preparation, nutritional content, and the benefits of homemade versus processed foods. The project was part of the class’s broader focus on healthy eating and culinary skills.
