Baldwyn Student Shadows Nurse Practitioner at Local Clinic

Baldwyn High School sophomore Amar’e Agnew visited Elite Care Family Medicine in Guntown to shadow nurse practitioner Kevin Miller and his staff.

Agnew said the experience provided him with a better understanding of what a nurse practitioner’s daily responsibilities entail in urgent care. He also expressed interest in pursuing a future career in the field.

“My take-away from shadowing with Kevin Miller at Elite Care not only gave me a better understanding of what being a nurse practitioner is like on a day-to-day basis in urgent care, but it also helped me gain knowledge on a career that I could possibly pursue in the future,” Agnew said. “I’d like to thank Mr. Kevin and everyone at Elite Care in Guntown for making me feel welcome.”
