Booneville Water Department to Close South General Collins Drive for Sewer Repairs

The Booneville Water & Sewer Department announced plans to close South General Collins Drive, also known as South Lake Street, between East Church Street and Marietta Street. The closure is scheduled for today during business hours.

The department is performing sewer line repairs, and crews will be on-site throughout the day. The project is ongoing and could take multiple days to complete, officials said.

During the closure, the road will be closed to through traffic, and drivers in the area may experience delays. Motorists are advised to use alternate routes, follow posted detours and signage, and drive cautiously in work zones.
