Bear River School District announced that Jonathan Childs will serve as the head coach of the BHS Bearcat boys basketball team for the 2026-27 season.
Childs is a Bearcat alumnus and has been working within the district for the past six years. He will also continue his role as assistant principal at Bear River Elementary School.
Congratulations to Coach Childs on his new position, the district said. The announcement included a social media message with the hashtag #heartofabearcat.
