City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3, and Monday, July 6, in observance of Independence Day. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, July 7, according to city officials.
On July 4, 2026, the United States will mark 250 years of independence. President Donald Trump called it “the greatest political journey in human history” in a statement about the milestone.
The White House Task Force 250 has partnered with Hillsdale College to produce a video series highlighting the history of American independence. The series features stories of key figures, locations, and events that led to the founding of the nation and its victory over the British Empire, establishing what is considered one of the world’s greatest republics.
