First-grade class releases butterflies after month-long observation
Mrs. Anglin’s first-grade class at BES released butterflies after spending nearly a month observing their transformation from caterpillars. The students watched as the caterpillars developed into chrysalises and finally emerged as butterflies.
Teachers say the project provided students with hands-on learning about life cycles and nature. The class celebrated by releasing the butterflies outside, marking the culmination of their month-long science activity.
Social media posts from the school highlighted the students’ excitement and engagement with the project, with one post noting the butterflies’ release as a memorable experience for the young learners.
