Former NEMCC football player Robert Henry to be inducted into Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame

Robert Henry, a former North East Mississippi Community College football player, will be inducted into the Mississippi Community College Sports Hall of Fame tonight, according to the college.

Henry played for the Tigers under legendary coach Bill Ward during the 1972 and 1973 seasons. He was recognized as the team’s defensive MVP as a linebacker.

The induction honors Henry’s contributions to college football and his impact on the program, NEMCC said in a statement.

Henry’s accomplishments include being a key defensive player during his time at the college, which has a storied football tradition. The ceremony will take place later this evening.
