Government Offers Free Funds for Children’s Future Accounts

The U.S. government is promoting a new savings program aimed at helping the next generation build a stronger financial future. Children born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, are eligible to receive $1,000 in free funds, according to officials.

The program encourages parents and guardians to start contributing early. If contributions are maximized, a child’s account could grow to $271,000 by age 18, officials said. The accounts are open to all U.S. children under 18 who have a Social Security number and are free to open.

Officials emphasize that the program is entirely free to participate in and aim to help families secure a better financial future for their children. Additional details are available at the official website, TrumpAccounts.gov.
