Jones sweeps Northeast in softball doubleheader

The Jones softball team swept Northeast in a doubleheader on Saturday. The Tigers won both games, 19-9 and 9-0, despite a strong showing from Northeast’s Sophie Gant.

Gant hit two home runs and drove in five runs in the second game. However, the Tigers’ offense was too much for Northeast to overcome.

Jones, ranked sixth nationally, improved to 26-4 overall. Northeast, ranked 20th, dropped to 14-12 with the losses.
