Mississippi cadet candidates begin physical testing ahead of training class

Future Mississippi State Trooper cadets recently participated in the Pre-PT Test, an early assessment of physical fitness, discipline, and determination required for police training, according to state officials.

The test offers candidates a preview of the standards they will face during the training process. Every effort they make brings them closer to earning the badge, officials said.

State authorities encourage those interested in law enforcement to stay prepared, as opportunities to join the force could be just ahead. The next Cadet Class 71 is set to begin training soon, officials added.
