Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks honors fallen officers

The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks honored conservation officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty since 1932 during a memorial service held yesterday.

MDWFP Executive Director Lynn Posey said, “Today, we honor the brave officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty, serving MDWFP and the citizens of Mississippi. Their dedication and heroism will forever be remembered.”

The department expressed gratitude to the families of the fallen, Representative Bill Kinkade, and all attendees who joined the service. They emphasized that law enforcement is a dangerous profession and thanked officers who dedicate their careers to protecting the public and natural resources.

More information about the event is available on the MDWFP website.
