Mississippi K9 Unit assists in turkey season trespassing and hunting case
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks’ K9 Unit assisted in a trespassing and hunting investigation in Tunica County during turkey season, according to department officials.
Private, identified as PVT Clark, requested support from SGT Marascalco and K9 Loki. The K9 tracked more than 2 miles through the woods to the suspected hunting location and recovered a firearm hidden at the scene.
Authorities issued charges for hunting without a license and trespassing. Department officials praised the efforts of PVT Clark, SGT Marascalco, and K9 Loki for their roles in the successful operation.
