Mississippi launches rural health grant program, opens applications in June

Mississippi is launching a new grant program aimed at improving rural healthcare. The state has announced three initial funding opportunities focused on addressing healthcare gaps, expanding telehealth, and strengthening healthcare infrastructure.

The Mississippi Rural Health Transformation Program received approval from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Details about eligibility, funding priorities, and application requirements will be shared starting June 1.

Applications for the grants will open on June 15 and close on July 15. The state plans to review applications through the end of July, with awards expected to be announced in August.
