Mississippi Youth Fishing Rodeos Offer Free Outdoor Fun for Kids
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is hosting youth fishing rodeos throughout June, offering free outdoor activities for children age 15 and younger. The events aim to provide young anglers with hands-on fishing experience alongside friends and family in Mississippi’s outdoors.
Several rodeos are scheduled across the state. On Saturday, June 13, a rodeo will be held at Grenada Lake at 7 a.m. On June 20, the Oxford event has a location change to Lake Patsy at 7 a.m. The Fayette rodeo will take place at Jefferson Pond at 8 a.m.
Participants are encouraged to check the department’s website for more information and additional youth fishing events scheduled throughout the year. The department’s website is https://www.mdwfp.com/fishing-boating/youth-fishing-rodeos.
