Northeast Chorus and Voices to Perform Annual Spring Concert on April 21
Northeast’s Chorus and Voices ensemble will present its annual Spring Concert on Tuesday, April 21, at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church in Booneville, according to college officials.
The ensembles serve as ambassadors for Northeast Mississippi Community College, showcasing vocal talents from students across various academic disciplines, not just music majors, officials said. Over the years, the groups have traveled throughout Mississippi, performing at numerous concerts and exhibitions.
The concert will feature a wide range of musical genres, including Felix Mendelssohn’s “Verleih’ uns Frieden” and a contemporary gospel arrangement of “Let Everything That Hath Breath” by Jeffery Ames, officials said. A highlight will be a special invitation for former Northeast chorus members to join in the final performance of the night, “In Meeting, We Are Blessed.”
Admission to the concert is free, and the event is open to the public, officials added.
