Northeast Phi Theta Kappa wins blood drive competition against ICC for fourth straight year

Northeast Phi Theta Kappa hosted its annual “Out for Blood” blood drive in competition with Illinois Central College (ICC). For the fourth year in a row, Northeast claimed the trophy after donating 56 units of blood, compared to ICC’s 47 units.

The combined effort resulted in a total of 103 units of blood collected. The trophy was accepted by Matt Otts of Ripley, co-vice president of leadership of the Northeast Phi Theta Kappa chapter, from Stephanie Seabrease, Vitalant blood donation recruitment manager.

The event emphasizes ongoing community engagement and efforts to support local blood supplies, organizers said.
