A public land workday is set for Saturday at Leaf River Wildlife Management Area in the DeSoto National Forest, according to event organizers. Volunteers will spend the morning assisting with improvements to Mississippi’s public hunting land.
The workday begins at 8 a.m. at the Leaf River WMA Check-In Station. Participants are advised to wear long pants, bring gloves, and apply bug spray. Lunch will be provided to all volunteers.
