Baldwyn High School senior Kmauryen Johnson had the opportunity to shadow at Elite in Baldwyn on Thursday. He wanted to gain insight into the work environment for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
Johnson said his experience helped him understand that physical therapists do more than help patients recover from injuries. “The experience gave me a better understanding of what the career is like and showed me the importance of patience and communication,” he said. “They were kind with each and every patient.”
The shadowing experience aimed to provide Johnson with a clearer picture of the physical therapy field and its daily responsibilities, according to sources at Elite.
