NWS warns Prentiss County could see black ice, flash freezing
The National Weather service issued a warning that involves Booneville and Prentiss county.
According to the NWS:
…Flash Freezing of Bridges and Overpasses Possible Tonight…
As subfreezing temperatures and calm winds quickly settle in
behind exiting winter precipitation, any residual moisture will
be subject to flash freezing. Main roadways will likely be fine,
but elevated roadways, such as bridges and overpasses will be of
greatest concern.
Slick spots and black ice will create hazardous
driving conditions for motorists across much of northeast
Mississippi and portions of west Tennessee through tomorrow
morning.
