Prentiss County woman airlifted after vehicle accident involving Highway Patrol

A Booneville woman was airlifted to NMMC last night after sustaining injuries in a vehicle accident that involved a Mississippi State Trooper, according to the MHP.

20-year-old Savanna Sheppard of Booneville was airlifted to Tupelo after she was involved in a two-vehicle crash with a Mississippi Highway Patrol near Burnsville just before 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

According to the press release, shepulled into the path of the highway patrol trooper and was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo with moderate injuries.
