Wind Advisory issued for Prentiss County could lead to power outages

A wind advisory issued for Prentiss County coupled with the potential for record low temperatures could lead to power outages, according to the NWS.

From the National Weather Service:

* WHAT…North winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph expected. * WHERE…Portions of north Mississippi and west Tennessee. * WHEN…Until 6 AM CST Tuesday.

* IMPACTS…Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS…Wind chills will drop into the single digits to lower teens tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
