Booneville sets guidelines for payment arrangement for utility customers

From the City of Booneville:

To assist the citizens of Booneville, during the pandemic. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen voted to not shut off utility services for 60 days, and upon a request by the Mayor, the Board also voted to stopped late fees for a 6 months period to allow citizens flexibility in paying their bills.

The time has come to set up a payment plan for those customers whose bills have fallen into non-payment.

If you have a past due balance, beginning with the June billing cycle. Customers will have 90 days to bring their accounts up to date.

Customers past due balances’, will be split into 3 payments, the first payment of the past due amount and the regular bill will be due in June.

Example:

Past due balance, $333.00 / 3 = $111.00
Regular June balance, $115.00

June Payment $226.00

If the agreement isn’t followed, cut-offs will begin June 21st.
