Baldwyn School District honors top students with academic awards
The Baldwyn School District awarded academic honors to students across grades 5 through 8, acknowledging their hard work and dedication during the school year.
In the elementary grades, 5th graders received recognition on the honor roll and principal’s list. Honor roll recipients included Sam Barron, Colby Craven, Cashlynn Fly, Khmazi Fly, Zoey Gates, Annabelle Johnson, Aubree Ruff, Chelsie Shinault, Samiyah Smith, Kayleigh Stubbs, and Prince Tovar. The principal’s list featured Myles Allen, Aiden Bosman, Wiley Gholston, Rosie Montgomery, Waylon Richey, Brogan Speck, Rollins Ward, and Destini Welch.
5th graders also earned subject awards. Myles Allen, Wiley Gholston, and Waylon Richey received science awards; Wiley Gholston was recognized in language arts; Wiley Gholston also earned a math award; and Myles Allen received a social studies award.
Sixth-grade students were honored with honor roll recognition, including Alexis Adams, Zenobia Anderson, Hunter Applegate, Levi Applegate, Kimmins Bishop, Shelia Darby, Mattie Floyd, Korbin Gates, Zoey Brown, Kinsley Buchanan, Jason Carter, Axle Horton, Tristan Leggon, Jakory Muhammad, Emyja Mundy, Cheyene Payne, Drayson Price, Seven Stribling, Torrance Mitori, Nathaniel Thomas, and Keagan Roberts. The principal’s list included Baker Allen, Sawyer Griffin, Reese Cayson, Addyson Crump, Kingston Haynes, John Houston, Aubrey Howell, Darby Jackson, Easton McCarthy, Aubree Ragin, and Nicolas Soderstrom.
Subject awards for sixth grade went to Darby Jackson in science, Baker Allen in language arts, Henry Houston in math, and Darby Jackson in social studies. Seventh-grade honors included students such as Justin Baldwin, Elijah Baldwyn, Mylie Billups, William Blackwell, Ashleigh Gill, Mason Gillentine, Karmani Hamm, Ayda Horton, Riley Gillentine, Pamela Howell, Aubrey Jones, Grayley Lee, Chloe Montgomery, Joshua Pullen, Carter Smith, and Micah Thornton.
Seventh-grade principal’s list students included Tyson Adams, Brody Ashmore, Gavin Copeland, Drake DeVaughn, Jakarta Ward, with subject awards going to Drake DeVaughn in social studies, Jaikarri Ward in language arts, Gavin Copeland in cyber foundations, Brody Ashmore in math, and Drake DeVaughn in science.
In eighth grade, students recognized for honor roll included Bryson Baswell, Kinsley Davis, Hunter Franks, Robert Gray, Karson Hardin, Chloe Hardy, Makenleigh Harvell, Jenna Heatherly, Tiona Johnson, JaRhyia McFadden, Nathan Nobles, Kylee Polk, Ashton Reese, John Roberts, Tristan Ruff, Malijah Starks, Hunter Ward, Jasper White, Kailey Young, and Brian Williams. The principal’s list featured students such as Avrie Armstrong, Dylan Kelly, Hadley Magers, Ella Reed, Abel Roberts, A’leah Shaw, Bailee Tate, Autumn Warren, and Emmett Williams, who was named valedictorian. The salutatorian was Avrie Armstrong.
Subject awards for eighth grade went to Hadley Magers in language arts, Emmett Williams in science, Avrie Armstrong in math, and both Hadley Magers and Kinsley Davis in MS studies. Emmett Williams and John Roberts received cyber foundations awards.
