Booneville honors longtime street department employees at retirement celebration
Booneville officials held a retirement celebration Wednesday for two members of the City’s Street Department. Mitchell George and Mike Tennison, who have served the city for many years, were recognized for their commitment and hard work.
Mayor Lori Tucker, the Board of Aldermen, fellow employees, department heads, and community members gathered to thank George and Tennison for their contributions. Their efforts helped maintain the city’s infrastructure and supported the community’s daily operations, according to a city news release.
“We sincerely appreciate your service and dedication,” the city said. “Your work has made a lasting impact on Booneville.”
The city extended well wishes to the retirees for happiness, good health, and blessings as they start this new chapter. The celebration highlighted the importance of public service and recognized the employees’ years of commitment to Booneville’s residents.
