Corey Stephenson signs first pro contract with Detroit Pistons after All-Star MVP performance

Corey Stephenson, who recently earned MVP honors at the Reese’s All-Star Game, has signed his first professional contract with the Detroit Pistons, according to sources.

Stephenson was an all-conference performer at Northeast Mississippi Community College in 2023 before transferring to Florida International University to finish his college career with FIU men’s basketball.

The 6-foot-4 guard made a strong impression during the All-Star Game, which helped him secure an NBA contract, the sources said.

Details about the length and terms of the deal were not immediately available.
