Mississippi residents interested in hunting alligators in public waters have until Friday, June 12, to submit their applications for the 2026 season, according to the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP).
The 10-day alligator hunting season is scheduled from noon on August 28 to noon on September 7. The MDWFP reminds hunters that applications must be submitted through the agency’s Hunt Fish License System.
Applicants who do not already have an account in the new system will need to create one before applying. Additional information on how to complete the application and submit it is available on the MDWFP website.
