Louisiana wildlife officials have announced that applications are now open for the 2026 public water alligator draw hunt. The application period runs through Friday, June 12, according to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries.
The 10-day hunting season is scheduled from noon on August 28 to noon on September 7. Hunters interested in participating must apply through the department’s Hunt Fish License System.
