Mrs. Raines and Ms. Amber’s kindergarten class at BES was introduced to Ellie the Elephant this morning. The stuffed animal will be used to keep students engaged during daily Heggerty lessons.
Heggerty is an educational program that emphasizes phonemic awareness, early literacy, and auditory skills. The program aims to support young students’ foundational reading development.
School officials said the addition of Ellie the Elephant is part of their effort to make learning more interactive and enjoyable for students.
