Marathon Cheese Corporation is expanding its operations in Booneville, Mississippi, the company announced Tuesday. The expansion includes new equipment and increased production capacity.
The initiative will create 39 new jobs for families in Booneville and Prentiss County, according to Mayor Lori Tucker. She expressed appreciation for the company’s continued investment and commitment to the community.
“This expansion represents more than just increased capacity; it signifies growth and opportunity for local families,” Tucker said. “Strong partnerships between industry, local government and economic development organizations are key to strengthening our economy.”
Marathon Cheese has been part of Booneville for more than 60 years, and the company’s ongoing investment reflects its long-term commitment to the region, officials said.
